Brett Harwood (Director/Choreographer) is a "Hoosier" by birth, but a "New Yorker" at heart. Brett is currently the director of the Stuttgart Theater Center and has directed nearly twenty musicals for the Stuttgart Entertainment Branch. He has been nominated for the USAREUR Tournament of Plays award for "Best Choreography" three times and has won the award twice. While a student at Indiana University's prestigeous School of Music, Brett was chosen to direct university productions of EVITA and Stephen Sondheim's SWEENEY TODD.  In addition to his work here, Brett has staged DAS MUSIKALISCHE HIMMELBETT at Theater (der Altstadt) im Westen - and is in negotiations for a new musical there this fall. As a performer, Brett has appeared in over 100 musicals including several regional and national touring companies and has performed or recorded with celebrities ranging from Bobby Short to Frederica von Stade. Brett made his New York debut at Carnegie Hall in March of 1995 and can be heard on several Disney/Telarc recordings.

Alan Buxkemper (Musical Director) is the Director of the Stuttgart Entertaiment Branch. Prior to that, Alan served as the Music Center Director since June of 1989. In that capacity, he served as music director for every musical we have produced since THE MUSIC MAN in 1990. Alan has been nominated as "Best Musical Director" at the USAREUR Tournament of Plays three times and has won the award twice (for AIN'T MISBEHAVIN and THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND). Alan recieved his Master's Degree in Piano Performance from Southwest Texas University. Upon graduation, he joined the faculty at Southwest Texas University as Vocal Coach/Accompanist and Class Piano Instructor as well as conducting the University production of LA BOHEME. Alan has studied the German Art Song at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Stuttgart and also served as accompanist at the Stuttgart Opera School. He has recorded Rachmaninoff's Symphony "No. 3 in A Minor" and Ravel’s "Spanish Rhapsody" with the Sueddeutsche Rundfunk Symphony in Stuttgart. Alan is married to soprano Jennifer and is the proud father of Andrew.

Robert K. Chung (Tedchnical Director) started in Army Entertainment in the Yongsan Music/Theater Center, Seoul, South Korea. It was the experiences with that theater that prompted him to major in Drama/Theater at the University of Hawaii, concentrating in technical theater.  He has designed, built, and run lights and sets for community and school theaters on shows including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Baby, Wizard of Oz, and Flower Drum Song. He is extremely glad to join the Stuttgart Entertainment Team and looks forward to doing theater in Stuttgart.
